COMIC RELIEF - UPDATE

Just a quick update from the last post - On Friday 13th March the Lowestoft Kuk Sool Won school raised over £500 for Comic Relief - which should bring the magical total of both our martial art schools to over £1,000 -

What a fabulous achievement and well done to everyone who participated.

The picture above shows myself breaking a board for Comic relief with a turning back side kick, just to demonstrate there's still life in the old-dog yet.

I thought that the black board seemed a lot “easier” this time around. I knew it would be weaker as it was older. I remember seeing the best of us trying to break it back in 1997 and only JIKJN Martin broke it with his famous turn back side kick!

I remember holding 3 boards with psbn david years ago at a demo at Kirkley High School and Master Martin (then a 3rd degree Psbn) did his signature kick on the boards. I remember thinking I could barely get my hands around 3 boards let alone brace them against a kick.

In a flash there was a big bang and 6 bits of board fell the floor. I was so impressed.

I still am!

Well Done JIKJN!

ps: I hope you do get a brand spanking new black board so I see if my technique has genuinely improved to break it!
