Alkalising Continued


As I recently mentioned I'm back to 'alkalising', again making the most of my juicing machine.

The thing that I find most difficult during the winter months is discovering the appropriate food to eat.

Eating salads etc. in the summer is fine, however in January it just doesn't seem to do the job and I often find myself just eating any old rubbish to help me keep warm.

Recently my wife Ali, made some good old-fashioned winter soups with plenty of seasonal vegetables, which certainly did the trick .

The essential rule to alkalising is this; Eat the things that you know are good for you and reduce or cut out the rubbish.

Week Six - Alkalising Course


I've made it through to week six of the Alkalising Course and have kept a journal of each day so far, including the food I've eaten, exercise, weight loss and PH levels.

Here's what I've written in my journal today to summarise the journey so far.

I'm almost half way through the course and I can honestly say that I'm feeling better than I've felt in a very long time. It's weird but I feel cleansed, fresh and energised. It really is a fantastic exeperience. I feel truly alive.

An additional by-product of me feeling so good is that I've also managed to shed 8lbs in weight. I initially started out at 13 stone 9lbs and I'm now down to 13 stone 1 lbs.

Breakfast

What did you have for Breakfast today? Well you might have had a Full English or may have just settled for cereal, tea and toast.

I thought that you might be interested on how I'm getting on with my Alkalising health diet.

It's now week four - day three and here's what my breakfast consisted of this morning.


1 Carrot
1 Piece of Asparagus
1 large Apple
1 Celery stick
Slice of Cucumber


Now doesn't that sound appetising! Well it tastes better than it looks and of course it gives you a hit of your five portions of fruit and vegetables all in one shot.

A fantastic power drink to start the day with, giving you lots of energy and a great cleansing effect too.

My New Best Friend - The Juicer!


As part of the alkalising course I was recommended to go out and buy myself a Juicer, but not just any old Juicer as it has to be a specific type.

The one I've purchased is called a Masticating Juicer which basically means that it works at a slower speed and churns and chews vegetables without losing to much of the nutrients in the process.

Tonight I've just made myself a fresh vegetable drink from the following ingredients; Spinach, Cucumber, Asparagus, - how about that for a 'power drink'.

Alkalising Course

Well as promised - I'm going to reveal the latest health regime that I've decided to undertake.

I've enrolled on a twelve week online alkalising course to help me gain increased energy and vitality, in addition to some weight loss.

Many times throughout my life I have worked on ways to increase my fitness, however I have often sacrificed my health by doing so. - (Basically I didn't train properly)

As I've often mentioned several times in this blog, one of my biggest enemies is burnout, which I've since discovered is me basically creating an over acid lifestyle through eating incorrectly and exercising incorrectly. (I'll explain more about this later.)

Let me ask you the following question - How many people do you know that seem quite fit but always have colds or injuries? ....You might be one of them yourself?

I was the same because I didn't understand the difference between having good health & fitness.
Since writing the last post and following the course (I'm now on day four) ) I have to be totally honest I already have increased energy levels and start to feel totally alive.
